Direct installation using Eclipse Update Manager:
- Please use Eclipse 3.4 or better. You should use the Eclipse package with the Eclipse Modeling Tools (e.g. Ganymede EMT), otherwise you might have to install a lot of additional dependencies.
- We recommend using a fresh Eclipse installation! (If you have already installed TOPCASED, please uninstall it first, since we use our own forked version.)
- Install the rCOS editor tool: Help -> Software Updates -> Available Software -> Add Site -> Enter "http://rcos.iist.unu.edu/eclipse/" as URL. Unfold the new entry and check "rCOS Modeler" (there should be three required sub-features). Press "Install...". Also make sure that the main update site for your Eclipse installation (e.g. "Ganymede" is available so that any dependencies can be resolved automatically using the "Manage Sites..." button. Please note that Eclipse may need to download additional plugins from the main Eclipse update site, so some patience may be required.
-
Now you can create a new project (you may choose "Java Project") and edit an rCOS diagram beginning from the use case view (File -> New -> Other -> rCOS -> rCOS Diagram).
You can visit our download section for example models. Please report any problems during the installation!
